After serving in the Marine Corps
in World War II, Noel started his art education at Vesper George in
Boston and after graduation he worked for a greeting card company while
attending Rhode Island School of Design where he graduated with a BA
degree in fine arts. He attended workshops at The New School in New York
and also summer workshops with Henry Hensche in Provincetown.
After 40 years in advertising, Noel retired to
Cape Cod where he began painting landscapes on the Cape. He has traveled
to Maine, New Mexico, England, Scotland and Provence. he is planning a
trip to Italy in 2010.
Noels' work can be seen at Gallery 333 in
Falmouth, The Marjon "Porch" gallery in Hyannis and John Russell in
Brewster. He is planning his 11th one man show in Barnstable in 2009.
